Fashion Show

My school is holding a "Fashion Show" tonight. Usually I don't go for that kind of thing, but my friend Alicia is performing and asked me to come, so I'm going (also, It's her birthday).

Hope It'll be fun, writing tomorrow.

Thanks.

Monday at home.

A four day weekend is always fun. I woke up this morning in my blue pajama bottoms and a t-shirt, longing for muffins for some reason. My Rolling Stones poster had clattered to the floor at some vaguely remembered time during the night, it's one of those really big ones that seems to require wads of Sticky-Tac just to keep it up on my wall for a couple of days. Anyway, I figured out that my longing for muffins was brought on by muffins themselves, or rather, the smell of muffins.

It's halfway through the day so I can't completely predict what's in store for the rest of the day, but if it's anything like the first half, it will be uneventful, as a scheduled holiday should be. The only small interruption will be an Orthodontist's appointment later this afternoon, which means, if I'm lucky; no crackers for a week or two, and if I'm unlucky; applesauce for a month. School is tomorrow, which means my satanic alarm clock will be in full voice at seven AM and my sister will be in full voice at about six. It's "Day 9" of my school's nine day cycle tomorrow, which means Gym (hurray!) and some other classes that I can't be bothered to remember.

I've pretty much covered everything, attempted update tomorrow!

Thanks.

Created at one hour before Easter Sunday.

I've always naturally avoided the thought of "keeping a blog" or being "part of the blogosphere", whatever that means. However, recently I've started reading some of the "Blogs of Note" and found it fascinating how much more exciting and interesting a story becomes when it has a personal value to the storyteller, much like how a funny story that your friend tells you is more enjoyable than a joke some stand-up comedian made on TV. Anyway, this has inspired me to create my own, despite the fact that it will probably go unnoticed by anyone important.

I suppose I should at some point introduce myself; my name is Sam(uel) and am in the ninth grade at a public high school in the Notre-Dame-De-Grace neighbourhood in Montreal, Quebec. I've lived here since my birth, fourteen years ago, and I haven't really had a problem with the city in general (except for the weather, but i suppose every city has its own weather problems). I have a seven-year-old sister named Ann, who I will most likely refer to frequently in future posts. I have a happily together set of parents who aren't exactly overprotective, but definitely do lay down some ridiculous rules, that I generally follow if I can.

If at this point you're thinking I'm probably some sort of dork judging by my writing style, you're not exactly wrong, but I wouldn't sum up my personality as just dorky. I have an active social life, and though I don't go to many parties, i like people and people like me. I'm very close to average when it comes to school marks, even in English. I think this is because I'm just not motivated when it comes to school work; I just think of school as something mandatory to get through during the day, and if teachers happen to give me essays or long pieces of homework, I can never seem to get around to actually doing something about school when I'm not in school. Speaking of which, I have a project overdue for Science class that involves recording what I eat for three days. I will not do it.

If you're reading this, keep looking back, I'll have another post as late as Monday afternoon.

Thanks.
